Hi, could you please confirm this? It looks like all my credits, except 100, will expire on Oct 25. Can you confirm if that’s correct? Also, is the validity of the credits we receive after graduating only 1–2 weeks? If so, that feels like quite a short window for those of us who want to continue using Clay and deepening our expertise after graduation.
Yes, that's correct. For free accounts, only 100 credits roll over at the end of each monthly cycle, and the rest expire. [1]
Regarding cohort graduation credits: for free accounts, credits earned during a cohort expire at the end of each month. [2] This means you'll need to use them within the current monthly cycle.
If you upgrade to a paid plan, the credit rollover policy changes significantly—unused credits roll over and accumulate up to 2x your plan's monthly credit limit, giving you much more flexibility.

Did that answer your question?

2 things 1) what does current monthly cycle mean? My credit are expiring on Oct 25th, 2) comment says “you can request human assistance by clicking on Talk to a person.“. where do I find that?
I understand the confusion about the monthly cycle and the assistance option. Would you like me to connect you with a human agent? Or if you provide more details, I can continue helping you here.
yes

Hi Pallavi,
Thanks for reaching out to support. Yes that is correct after the 25th, If you have a monthly subscription, unused credits will roll over and accumulate in your account up to 2x the credit limit according to your plan. If you buy an annual plan, you get all your credits upfront, and you can use them however and whenever you’d like.
You can read more about the Credit Roll Over Update here. Let me know if you have additional questions!
Thanks Nicole. I am still not clear on 2 things: 1) why 25th? Why not 1st of the month. Is this the date i first started my free account: 2) graduation credit - whats validity period of this? If thats also dependent on the date of month, I 1st signed up to an account? What if someone graduated two days before their sign up date? In that case, would their graduation credit validity be only 2 days ?
1) It looks like your billing timing was set up on the 25th so that is the day your credits are reloaded, it will remain this way for the future unless you upgrade on a different day then it will be on that day monthly 2) Awarded credits I believe are subject to this as well, I will actually bring this feedback to the team so we can avoid this issue moving forwards but for the time being the best way to handle this is to reach out to us directly and we can help you navigate this
Ok. 2. Thanks for brining this to the team. Awarded credits are hard earned for many of us, and not having enough time (even 30 days) to use it is not good for us or clay. If we get to experiment more and learn more, then we would be a better champion for the tool and hopefully convert to a paid customer at the next opportunity. Thanks Nicole.
Hey - Thanks for this! We're always looking to make the product better and this feedback is super helpful for us. We're going to pass this over to our product team so they can better evaluate things and see if/where this might fit into the roadmap as a future improvement.
Thank you Bo. Bo (.
