Issue with Click-and-Drag Functionality in Select Field Options

Likely 🐛 when editing the options of a select-type field, I am unable to click-and-drag to select some of the type in the name of the option. Clicking-and-dragging instead triggers drag-to-reorder on the options in the list.

Are you experiencing this issue when trying to edit existing option names, or does it also happen when creating new options in your select-type field?

There is no separate interface for creating new options. Rather than creating and editing options in separate flows, users click a button to create a new option with a default name, then edit the name.

Since you need to edit the default names after creating options, try these workarounds:
• Double-click the option name instead of click-and-drag to select text
• Use Ctrl+A (or Cmd+A on Mac) to select all text in the field
• Click at the start/end of the text and use Shift+arrow keys to select
This appears to be a bug where the reorder functionality is overriding normal text selection behavior. If these workarounds don't resolve the issue, please ask to speak to a human for further assistance.

The workarounds do resolve the issue. I still believe it to be a bug and should be reported as such.

Hi Brendan,
Thanks for reaching out to support. Could you try clicking the left panel with 6 little buttons and pulling it up/down from there, you should be able to move it like this
