Hi, I accidentally deleted some data from a table and can't find a way to revert it to a previous state. Are you able to restore my table to a previous version?
Unfortunately, we don't track row history or deletions, so there's no way to recover previous data directly from within the platform.
If you deleted individual rows, there's a brief "Undo" option that appears in the bottom-right corner for a few seconds after deletion, but we can't recover data after that point.
Your best option is to re-import or manually update the missing data.
If you still need help with restoring or managing your table data, please let me know. Would you like to provide more details about what you're trying to resolve so I can assist you further?
This seems really counterintuitive, given that basically all data processing tools have the ability to undo and restore previous versions. Why doesn't Clay have the same feature?
You're right that this is a common expectation. We recognize this limitation and have received user requests for table version history and restoration features similar to Google Sheets.
These features are under consideration for future development but aren't currently available. Currently, we only offer a brief "Undo" option that appears for a few seconds after deleting rows.
We understand this can be frustrating when working with important data.
I apologize again for the frustration caused by the lack of a table version history feature. If you need further assistance with managing your table data or have other questions, would you like to share more about what you're trying to achieve?
