im pulling records from Hubspot but its getting stuck at different amounts each time not bringing out full list. Is there a known issue with this?
This isn't a known widespread issue with HubSpot imports in Clay. The import process should pull your complete list consistently. Try these troubleshooting steps: • Use the "Update now" option in your source menu to manually refresh the import • Verify your HubSpot list contains the expected number of records before importing • Check if you have "Exclude empty properties" selected, which might filter out some records If the issue persists with inconsistent record counts, please request human assistance by clicking "Talk to a person" so we can investigate your specific setup.
I think i understand what might be going on. there can be huge delays in between progress and I think its probably a rate limit issue on big lists does that make sense
Yes, that makes perfect sense. Rate limits can definitely cause delays during large HubSpot imports. For HubSpot API requests specifically, you can improve performance by setting a Request Limit and Duration in the HTTP API settings to manage rate limits more effectively. Clay implements rate limits to ensure system stability, and these are particularly noticeable for larger processes. We're deploying features like retries and smarter pacing to better handle rate limits and reduce errors. The delays you're experiencing between progress updates are likely the system respecting these rate limits to avoid failures.
will it eventually cycle through my full list though?
Yes, the import will eventually cycle through your full list despite rate limit delays. The system respects rate limits to prevent failures, but it continues processing until completion. You can use the "Update now" option in your source menu to manually refresh if needed.
You're absolutely right about splitting large lists. For HubSpot imports hitting rate limits or timeouts, breaking data into smaller, manageable tables is an effective workaround. You can also set Request Limit and Duration in HTTP API settings to better manage rate limits during imports. Our system implements rate limits for stability, and we're deploying features like retries and smarter pacing to handle these situations better. Smaller batches will help ensure consistent completion of your full import.
