Transferring Clay Tables Between Workspaces: A How-To Guide

Hi Support Team, I have 2 clay accounts. One is mine & another is client. When I was working on their project, I ended up creating clay table in my workspace... can I migrate or transfer all the details from my clay tables into their clay workspace?

You can transfer data between workspaces using the "Send table data" feature or "Write to Other Table" integration. [1]
For Send table data: Go to Actions → Send table data, select the destination table in your client's workspace, choose which columns to send, then save.
Alternatively, use Write to Other Table integration - you'll need your Clay API key and can map columns from your source table to the destination table in their workspace. [2]
If you need help setting this up quickly, try using Sculptor (top-right corner) to build the transfer workflow automatically.

You can only transfer the structure - not the data

Actually, you can transfer both structure and data between workspaces. The "Send table data" and "Write to Other Table" methods I mentioned do transfer the actual data, not just the structure. [1] [2]
When you duplicate a table, that only copies the structure - but these transfer methods move the actual row data between tables.
If you're having trouble with the data transfer, try Sculptor (top-right corner) to help set up the workflow automatically, or let me know what specific issue you're seeing with the transfer.

No.... Send table data and Write to other table will only work within the workspace. Clay S. Muhammad S. I know about that using Send table data & Write to other table.

Hi Vinit - thanks so much for reaching out. Confirming that you are unable to move data between two workspaces.
You are able to create workbook templates to transfer the structure of the table, but the data itself cannot be transferred using the Send Table Data action.
You can as an alternative download tables as a CSV and upload them within your workspace, however this will copy over basic information (text, formulas etc), but not enrichment columns.
