My client just pushed additional data to a different table and it totally zeroed out all enriched contacts and it also blew thru a ton of credits. Help!!!
Also isnt there a way to stop it writing??
Hey Jeanne, appreciate your patience! Taking a look now
Also, how many credits did it go through?
~1100. It was at 10K and itβs now at 8919
When I was with him to rerun the apollo since the google one messed it up and he deleted it, Itβs now rerunning every credit
He upgraded his plan too
I see, yep. That's the current behavior of workflows to be aware of, when something changes in a source that could affect or even change the values of other columns that depend on this source it will re-run them.To prevent this, you can turn the table 'off'
Or you can also turn each individual column off instead
even if itβs in the βother dataβ section? For exmaple, he was trying to get the phone number from the mid metros to push to a new column for a company phone in the people
Quick note, if things or inputs change, the following values may become outdated and that's why they re-run because they're trying to stay up to date but if the input didn't change at all it shouldn't run.
When you're trying to push new columns with Write to table it unfortuantely doesn't work as a lookup to append existing records and it will only create new ones below in the target table.
gotcha. So how would he push that one only then? Just unselect auto update?
How does he fix the ones it blew thru?
I see they're just duplicates so we can just remove those. If you click on a column that likely has the duplicate values, the dropdown should have a Dedupe option.
I'll refund the credits though, it won't do it automatically because the providers already processed the request.
OK So essentially he has to rerun the whole page?
I guess i dont understand why it zeroed out the entire sheet?
Not necessarily, there is a lookup integration that could help in cases like that.
I'll try to find something to match it to in both tables and use it instead to pull the other columns
all the rows were complete yesterday
No worries, if it's easier, I'll just re-do and refund. That's probably less messy
what data points did he need to push over, or what column are they from?
https://app.clay.com/workspaces/11130/tables/t_effJMNpDfgd5/views/gv_U8rwm0mkXBJM This column from this table
Okay, sorry for the delay. Had to modify a few things to ensure it was properly passed over and to make sure the email waterfall only runs after apollo does
Due to Apollo's very low rates though, it has be ran for the remaining rows every so often, manually.
K i hear ya. Iβm confused - all these people were enriched yesterday?
That whole column in peoople
Yep, since we had to re-do this, unfortunately, there are no current options to restore the table version or history :/... If you'd like to skip that step and still get emails from the other providers while the rate limits for Apollo refresh then let me know
How do I get it to fill back in basically is what iβm trying to figure out
You can click on the play button on top of the column header to re-run once Apollo allows the API to run again in a few moments.. Example screenshot
ok great. thanks!
He reran it and all set! So if he wants to add a column in the new worksheet from Apollo enrich that says if itβs the primary location / HQ, heβd
How would you add HQ
Nice!
So for that, you can follow the part of the video I sent where it explains the write to table setup. You have to add the empty column in the target table, then map it in Write to table so it includes it in the export process.
and it wont delete all the other enrichment?
No, it shouldn't since it only maps out the selected columns, all other columns that exist there should remain and only run when the input is available. The data will be lost if the rows or columns are deleted though
And if the input that those enrichments depend on changes, that's when they also re-run
and to confirm its here at min 5:19? https://www.loom.com/share/dd806edd91dc4927a4fa9a00b98a73d0
yep, that would be it
He tried a few different ways and cannot see how to get HQ https://app.clay.com/workspaces/11130/tables/t_effJMNpDfgd5/views/gv_U8rwm0mkXBJM Why would that have not worked? He also tried via apollo but could not find HQ or primary location
Any thoughts?
Hmm, if Apollo is not returning that information but if it can find a company's LinkedIn URL, then you could Enrich Company via LinkedIn instead. Otherwise, a google search or another Claygent column could browse the web and get that for you
