Updating Company Search Criteria: Issues and Solutions Explained

I ran a companies search (real estate) and then found people for those companies. There weren't enough results, so I tried to go back and update the companies source selection criteria, then update the table - but it doesn't seem to update? When you change the source filters for a Clay table that's already been run, the table won't automatically update with the new criteria. This happens because Clay doesn't retroactively reprocess data that's already been generated. Even though the source preview might show your updated filters, the table itself won't refresh until you take specific action. To see your updated results based on the new selection criteria, you need to either: 1. Delete and re-run the step that generated the data, or 2. Duplicate the table with the updated source This is by design - Clay preserves your existing data until you explicitly choose to refresh it with new parameters.
