Hi everyone, I’m running into the same issue. I wasn’t able to set up the Clay-Slack integration, even following the support team’s guidance. Here’s the thread I’m referring to: https://community.clay.com/x/support/9vu05s3s0sxk/seeking-alternatives-to-clay-slack-integration-for?utm_source=chatgpt.com Does anyone know how to integrate Clay with Slack in a way that works for security-conscious teams?
The Clay-Slack integration uses OAuth authentication for secure connection. [1] You can set it up by going to Settings > Connections or through any integration panel and signing in via OAuth.
To connect: In a Clay table, click Add enrichment, search for Slack, select a Slack option under Integrations, then click + Add account to authenticate. [4]
If you're still having setup issues after trying these steps, let me know what specific error you're encountering and I can help troubleshoot further.

I’m trying to integrate Clay and Slack so we can receive Slack notifications when specific events occur in Clay (signals), that's it. When I attempt the integration via Settings → Connections, it still requests broad Slack permissions that our InfoSec team is not comfortable approving. Is there a more security friendly way to set this up, while keeping permissions minimal?
Clay supports OAuth optional scopes that let you control exactly which permissions you grant to integrations, following the principle of least privilege. [1] You only enable the permissions your workflows actually need for security and compliance.
For Slack notifications from signals, you can set up custom signals and add Slack notifications as enrichments when the signal runs. [2] This lets you receive notifications for specific events without needing broader permissions.
Before we explore other options, I'd recommend trying our built-in Sculptor tool (top-right corner) to help set up these workflows with minimal permissions. Can you give that a try and let me know if it helps with the permission scope issue?

You can find Sculptor in two places:
1. From the homepage at app.clay.com - look for the large open text box [1]
2. Within any table - click the "Chat with Sculptor" button
It's our built-in AI tool that's totally free to use and helps you build tables, generate workflows, and set up automations. [2]

So if i decided to add to a workbook a "send message to channel", i need to create a slack channel and then just integrate between them and it will be with less permissions?
