Fixing HubSpot Contact Associations After Clay Import Issues

Hello, I imported contacts with email bounced from HubSpot to Clay, then using Clay to find LinkedIn profile, enrich the person with job title and company and new email. However, when I updated the objects back to HubSpot, the contacts have new emails but not associate with the correct company. Any idea how to fix that?

To correctly associate contacts with companies when updating from Clay to HubSpot, you need to: 1. Use the "Lookup Company" action in Clay first to find the HubSpot Company ID using the company domain. 2. When updating contacts, include the Company ID (not just the company name or LinkedIn URL) in your "Create or Update Contact" action. 3. Make sure you're using the proper identifiers - email address or HubSpot Contact ID for contacts, and domain or Company ID for companies. This ensures HubSpot recognizes the correct company association when updating contacts with new emails.
