I have a table with a list of people, approximately 17000, and now after I reduce the keywords, job titles etc. in the update source section, I see I only need 4000 of those people. However, when I update source, the table doesnt remove the difference in the number of people and update the table to only keep the 4000 relevant people. How can I do that?
Editing source filters won't retroactively remove existing data from your table. To get only the 4000 relevant people, you have two options:
Option 1: Delete and re-run the source
1. Click the source column title
2. Click Sources
and the name of your source
3. Click Delete source
4. Re-add the source with your updated filters
Option 2: Duplicate table with updated source
Create a new table with your refined filters to see only the updated results.
Clay doesn't automatically reprocess previously generated data when you change filters.
Okay i duplicated my views and deleted my source on one and somehow all of the duplicated views lost the source. Can you help please?
When you duplicate a table, only the sources are copied - not the actual data. This is why all your views lost their data when you deleted the source. To properly duplicate your table with updated filters: 1. Create a new table with your refined source filters (4000 people) 2. Transfer your existing data using the "write to table" feature: • Click "Add Enrichment" • Search for "write to table" • Map your existing data fields to the new table This preserves your enriched data while applying the new source filters. Views are table-specific, so you'll need to recreate any custom views in the new table.
can i get back the deleted source?
Unfortunately, deleted sources cannot be recovered directly. Once a source is deleted from a table, it's permanently removed. However, you can check your workspace Archive (accessible from the top navigation bar) to see if any deleted tables containing your source can be recovered. If you find a table with the source you need, you can restore that entire table. To prevent this issue in the future, consider duplicating your table before making major changes like deleting sources. Was the deleted source part of a table that might be in your Archive, or was it deleted from your current active table?

Can you please help me recover the source? The first time I put in the keywords, I was able to get a list of more than 18000 people, now when I rerun the source, I only get around 500 people. Please help
Unfortunately, deleted sources cannot be recovered directly - they're permanently removed once deleted. However, you can check your workspace Archive (accessible from the top navigation bar) to see if any deleted tables containing your original source can be recovered. If you find a table with the source you need, you can restore that entire table. The significant drop from 18, 000 to 500 people when rerunning suggests your original search parameters may have been different, or there could be limits applied (like results per company) affecting the new search. To recreate your original results, you'll need to carefully match the exact search filters, keywords, and parameters from your initial setup.
