New to Clay. I am trying to find out if companies are running Google ads. I tried using Claygents (including Navigator) but it didn't work. I also had them go directly to Google ads transparency center, but no luck with that either. It returns as if none are doing ads, but I checked manually and a good portion of them are... Any suggestions from the group? Thanks
Milos V. FYI the community guidelines require a person name + image for slack accounts. I think that the web-connected AI model should be able to do this, but you should start with a short list of companies that you know are running Google Ads and then iterate on the AI instructions until it works consistently. I would try something like 'search on google for keywords related to $company and determine if any sponsored results are returned that specifically link back to $website'.
Thanks. Updated the profile. Yeah, I did it with 10 companies that I know are running. I guess Google Ads Transparency Center has some blockers or something. I can check for other things like google tag manager installed but that doesn't mean they are running ads... I'll figure something out. Thanks again
Have you tried using enrichment like adyntel to check if they running ads. I also think there are apify actors to help with this
Adyntel doesn't help with what I need, it gives me ad insights and different ads they are running. I just need a true or false if they are running ads on google. I am trying to figure out now how to use the apify actor now... Thanks for the help
adyntel+chatgpt claygent, use adyntel to get the transparency link and then use the claygent to visit the site to get number of ads
adyntel can also give ad numbers - which is a good indication they are running ads
If the process follows a clear logic, check out Axiom AI—it's a browser-based automation tool.
I've had to handle this before at scale, adyntel + clay can solve this.
