Best Practices for Adding a Credit-Efficient Final LinkedIn Search Step in Clay Workflows
Hey guys, I'm building a contact sourcing workflow in Clay and would love some advice on the final LinkedIn lookup step. Here's my current workflow:
- 1.
Import contacts from my personal CRM into Clay.
- 2.
Use Clay to find additional people at those same companies based on specific job title filters.
- 3.
Use the Clay + Apollo integration to find even more contacts with relevant titles.
- 4.
Merge and deduplicate the results.
At that point, I still have some companies where I know there are likely additional relevant contacts, but neither my CRM nor Apollo found them. My question is: What's the most credit-efficient way to add one final LinkedIn search step for only those remaining contacts at those companies? I'm not trying to scrape everyone at a company. I just want to search LinkedIn for people at companies where there are still gaps and return anyone whose title matches a predefined list (or close variations). I'd love advice on:
Which LinkedIn connector or integration in Clay works best for this.
How you structure the search (company + multiple title variations).
Whether there's a smarter way to do this.
Any tips for keeping Clay credit usage low and avoiding duplicate contacts.
Curious how others have built this final "fill in the gaps" step in their workflows. Thanks!
