Enhance Find Company Search by Excluding Specific Countries

Request: Exclude Country in Find Company search. I want to primarily target US companies which is why I add "United States" to the select one or more countries. What I've found though is that I'm missing out on a huge number. This is because many companies have not populated the country field on LinkedIn or have an international HQ listed as the country even though there is significant US presence that would be useful for me to target. Given this, having the ability to hard exclude known geographies (countries) that I don't want to target will allow me more easily deal with the remainder. I'd rather have some false positives to sort through than excluding lots of viable prospects.

Currently, our Find Company search allows you to filter locations in the following ways: 1. Select specific countries you want to include (e.g., United States) 2. Include specific cities or states 3. Exclude specific cities or states While there isn't a direct option to exclude countries, here are some strategies to optimize your US company search: 1. Start with selecting United States in the "Select Countries" filter 2. Use the "Exclude Cities or States" option to remove any specific non-US locations you're seeing in results 3. Refine your search using other available filters like company size, industry, or keywords Remember to preview your results and iterate on your search parameters to achieve the best balance between coverage and relevance.

Hey Bo (....just wanted to add some clarity for this. I LOVE the exclusion filtering abilities in the Find People search (attached..with 8 fields for location). I just wish the same (or at the very least exclude country) was available for the Find Company search location with 3 fields for location). The reason that this is critical for me is there are so many results where the country field can be blank. If I choose "United States", I'm filtering out many US-based companies who've simply not completed the company field. Likewise, there are many US-centric companies that have international locations listed as their country. The problem is basically false negatives. If I had the ability to exclude countries, that would allow me to catch all the blanks and international locations of interest by just clearly excluding locations that would never be of interest. My hack right now is basically putting in common non-english terms and a selection of country names into the "exclude description keywords". It's not great which is why I would really love to see "exclude country" enabled on the "find company" search.
