Slightly off-topic but I know that there are many LinkedIn experts in this community so would love to get your thoughts on this: I would love to be able to do research on best-performing LinkedIn posts on specific topics. For example, I would love to search for "ProductHunt" and see which posts have performed the best on the keyword. I was considering the following tools: 1. Phantombuster: Does not have a Phantom for scraping for a keyword, just for posts from specific people. 2. Scraping the LinkedIn Post search results -> did not find an easy-to-use tool as InstantDataScraper and the Clay extension are not supported on LinkedIn. 3. Kleo: While I love the Chrome extension as I can easily search for top-performing posts of specific people, it does not seem to have a feature to search & save generally well-performing posts. Do you have any other ideas that work well for finding posts on specific keywords? Thanks a lot!
Hey there Alexander thanks for reaching out, this is a very interesting question here and interested to see what other ideas users may have. Have you also considered using an Apify Scraper to perform this? I believe that there is an Actor from Apify that has the option to search for keywords in a LinkedIn Post.
Actually found a Apify Actor that might fit the bill for what you are looking for. https://apify.com/curious_coder/linkedin-post-search-scraper
Thanks a lot Luis! I will give it a try but would also be curious if anyone knows any other approaches that do not require LinkedIn cookies
Hi there! 👋 Glad to hear you’re exploring options! If you’re looking for an approach that doesn’t require LinkedIn cookies, it can indeed be challenging, as accessing LinkedIn data typically involves scraping or API access, which often requires authentication. One alternative is to use Apify or similar platforms that offer structured scraping solutions. They can automate this process without the need for cookies and provide consistent, API-like access to LinkedIn data. If you’d like further assistance setting this up or exploring other options, feel free to reach out! 😊
Thanks a lot Bo & Luis, this makes sense! Just one follow-on question on keeping a LinkedIn account as secure as possible despite pasting its cookies: I guess Apify runs the script somewhere in the cloud so it does not matter at all whether I copy-paste the cookies from one computer where the account is logged in and then execute the Apify script on another computer where it was not logged in before, right? 🙂
Hello Alexander! I believe that is correct. Apify doesn't run in your local computer so this shouldn't make a difference, since the cookies are saved in the cloud anyways.
Thanks Tomi!
