Creating a Workflow to Track Startup Fundraising Activity

hey all - I am looking to create a workflow that tracks fundraise for startups in a specific domain like healthtech/cyber etc, funding stage, total raised, investors and location key contacts. What is a good starting point? I want this to be run on a daily basis based upon funding activity for that vertical. It seems if I do RSS feed, the costs can add up quickly. What is the recommended approach?

RSS feeds seem to be the most economical solution to me. CRON jobs are going to be relatively expensive.
