Hi team, I'm getting the You have reached the maximum number of columns allowed (100 total columns, 40 action columns). Please delete some columns before adding new one message even after deleting an action column. Where can I see how many action columns I'm at currently?

If I were to duplicate the waterfall output column and then delete the waterfall column, will that nullify my duplicated column? What's the best way to approach this limit issue
Hi Yashar - thanks for reaching out!
To help with the column limit, here are the columns that count as an action column:
Enrichments (data providers)
Waterfalls
AI columns
Write to Table actions
Unfortunately there is no way to see the exact number of action columns currently in use.
If you want to duplicate the waterfall output column and then delete the original waterfall column, this will not nullify the duplicated column. Here are the best approaches to achieve this:
Option 1: Check for Hidden Columns
First, click "Display All Columns" or "Show All" to reveal any hidden columns they can delete.
Option 2: Use Write to Table / Send Table Data
The most effective workaround is to transfer data to a new table, which resets the column limit:
Use Actions → Send Table Data or Write to Other Table
Select which columns to transfer to a new table
This preserves your data while resetting the action column count
You can then continue adding enrichments in the new table
This approach is commonly recommended by Clay's team for customers who need to exceed the 40 action column limit.
