Request to Change Default Auto-Update Setting to Off Globally

Auto-update should not be ON by default. It should be OFF. Please. Also, Auto-update should be offered as a Global setting as opposed to a singular setting in each table. How many auto-update accidents need to happen? It must be a source of significant income.

Hey Joel- thanks for this product feedback. The reason we keep auto-update on as a default is because of stale cell issues, where downstream enrichments do not run because they register the input data as stale, requiring users to spend credits to duplicate column runs. With auto-update on, data is constantly being refreshed and updated as records get added to the table. That being said, it is something I can forward internally. Appreciate you surfacing!
