Begging to have workbook manipulation abilities like Miro. The built in workbook design is very rigid and not helpful -- I have to create Miro boards that mimic my Clay workbooks just so I can better design and annotate the table relationships. Am I missing something with regard to moving the objects in a workbook?

Hey Joe! Thanks for getting in touch. Could you tell me a bit more about what you'd like to see? Just ability to click/drag/re-arrange the tables when you're looking at them in the workbook overview?
Within a table, we also have a node-based overview (at the upper-left corner of the table, clicking on the [view name] > "Graph view"), where you see the inputs and outputs of the columns in the table, and how they're interconnected.
I'd love to have a bit more flexibility in both of these surfaces, but would like to hear more about what you want! We can share as product feedback internally.
Yes, if you've ever used Miro or any diagramming board, that is what I'm looking for. Right now Clay default arranges the sources and tables (which makes sense). I am looking for the ability to move a table into a group of tables, draw a line between tables, and text annotate their relationship (imagine sticky notes for example). Having the workbook diagram locked forces me to create a Miro board that mimics the Clay workbook, just so I can re-arrange some source/table relationships and annotate
Hi Joe, thank you for sharing your inspirations, this is really helpful. Just to make sure I understand, does your proposal involve modifying the data flow across tables in a Miro like canvas, or are you mainly looking for a separate design canvas where you can add sticky notes or annotations to better visually explain the Clay workbook? If you have any samples you have worked on and could share, that would be wonderful. You can reach us in a more closed conversation via the in app support chat.
