Issues with Google Sheets Enrichment Overwriting Header Row

Google sheets enrichment to write clay data from clay to a sheet is not working, I am trying to add a new row and it keeps overwriting my header row (the 1st row) and this causes the future writes to have an error since the header columns are not overwritten. When using the Google Sheets "Add Row" enrichment, the integration should append data to the end of your sheet, not overwrite the header row. This inconsistent behavior might be happening because: 1. The integration is correctly configured to add rows, but might be encountering API rate limits (Google Sheets has a limit of 300 read requests per minute). To fix this: ** Double-check your enrichment setup: ensure you've selected the "Add Row" action (not "Lookup, Add or Update") ** Verify you've correctly pasted your Google Spreadsheet URL * Make sure you've properly mapped your Clay columns to the Google Sheet columns If problems persist, please share more details about your specific setup so we can troubleshoot further.

I know the enrichment is set up correctly because it has worked correctly, it is just not stable and it is not consistently appending rows, it is often overwriting the header row and causing errors.

So more on this, looks like the issue is easily replicated if you have an ongoing write to a sheet and then hide a column on the sheet. This causes the next row write to be added to the header. Still would like to push this as a bug, that doesn't seem like an intending functionality.

Also since it is a google sheets issue, I do not have access to the sheet. Would it be possible for you to send the sheet url?

Clay please remove that loom, it's exposing the confidential information that I was trying not to share with everyone. I will create a loom to replicate the issue and follow up now. I found out the reason why it is overwriting header rows and it definitely feels like a bug

Here's a loom demonstrating the fail case and bug that I have found. Here is the sheet that was used in this demo. If this is a bug that I caught, is there any bounties? 😉 Just kidding, thanks for follow ups. Would love to hear back from dev team if this is intended or not, could not find any documentation on this anywhere online.

Hello! Thanks for reaching out. I have escalated this to the engineering team but am curious to know why you would hide the columns to begin with. I would suggest waiting till the data is completely sent to make any changes. Hiding the column might break the flow and we do not recommend doing that.
