Hi Clay Team,
I'm a UK-based user working daily with European contact data in Clay, and I've encountered a significant issue with CSV exports that's impacting my workflow. I hope you can help me (and plenty of others) by solving it.
The Problem: When exporting data to CSV, accented characters (common in Spanish, Italian, German, and other European languages) are not preserved correctly. This makes the exported data unusable for checks, or imports to other systems, or integrations.
Impact: This is particularly disruptive for European market operations, as names, job titles, and company information frequently contain accented letters (é, ñ, ö, ü, etc.).
Evidence: I've attached two screenshots showing:
- 1.
The data as it appears in the Clay table (with correct accented characters)
- 2.
The same data after CSV export (with corrupted/missing accents)
Request: Could you please prioritize fixing the CSV export encoding to properly handle UTF-8 characters? This would ensure data integrity for users working with international contacts.
Happy to provide additional examples or testing support if needed.
Thanks for your attention to this!
