Yeah, I never ever do hourly rates except this project was an exception — but of course if you look closely, it’s not really hourly since it was a single estimate number for the whole project. Always ends up that way haha

i have a client who was most comfortable with an hourly rate with a monthly cap and an estimate of how many months we’d be working on the project (rough hourly range) so that it could ultimately be 1 number as a line item on the annual budget. for value-based pricing i recommend reading Win Without Pitching and the more expensive Pricing book both by Blair Enns to wrap your head around those win-wins. it’s not an easy book or concept to master so even after practicing his stuff for 3 years i haven’t had easy wins - but it opened my eyes a lot

Improving Sandbox Mode Instructions to Prevent Data Loss

Getting feedback from AI cohort students that some folks are losing the work they do in Sandbox by accidentally switching out without pushing first. Perhaps Sandbox mode could use some kind of stronger instruction to “push” updates, and/or a warning that when you switch between Sandbox and Live mode you lose the work that was done in Sandbox?

Normalizing URLs and Job Openings Enrichment Strategies

Hey is anyone online right now who could help me think through something? I have a list of companies from a data provider and the URL of some of them need to be normalized by adding “www”. Let’s say now my original URL is “company URL” (1700 records) and the new normalized ones are “normalized URL” (180 records). Should I create a merge/waterfall column for 1 single “valid URL” column and run all my future enrichments on that? Related, if I’m running the Find Job Openings enrichment via Clay, does it make sense to just run it on Company LinkedIn to bypass that mess? For what it’s worth, the data is coming from Lusha and I’m not sure of the LinkedIn url quality. At least I already validated the domains so I might feel safer using those?

Seeking TrustRadius Alternatives with G2 and TechTarget Integration

Curious if anyone’s hooked up a good TrustRadius (software buyer intent) alternative? On my wishlist: G2 and TechTarget integration as a column 🙂 I’ll probably need to engineer a replacement by tracking social signals etc. 🙂

Need Help with TrustRadius Enrichment Setup and Activities

Does anyone have experience with the TrustRadius enrichment (not source, but enrichment column)? It’s running, but I’m not getting any hits of activities, which surprises me -- I’m wondering if it’s because I set it up wrong… Also I’m wondering, if I want to track when someone shows intent for 3 specific software products, can I search for all of them in 1 Trustradius column or do I need to make 3? It looks like sometimes I can specificy a 2nd and 3rd vendor, but can’t tell if that’s just to augment intelligence about the 1st vendor. I looked up Clay’s youtube videos on this but I didn’t find this level of detail yet. Hey Alex K. — trustradius might do what you are trying to replicate from ZoomInfo. Let’s compare notes…
