Hi! I'm new to Clay and hoping someone can direct me to the best way to do this - cursory glance didn't find anything... I have a list of companies that I want to get contacts for - what's the best way for me to do this using Clay? I tried building a list of companies in Clay -> finding contacts, but it wasn't pulling up the companies I wanted. Then, I tried uploading my list of companies to Clay and using 'Enrich people', but also didn't yield me the result I wanted.
To get contacts for a list of companies in Clay, follow these steps: 1. First, import your list of companies into Clay, ideally with LinkedIn profile URLs or company domains. 2. Once your companies are imported, click on the "Actions" button in the top-right corner of your screen. 3. Select "Find People at These Companies" from the dropdown menu. 4. In the modal that opens, ensure your company table is selected under "Table Reference" and choose either LinkedIn URLs or company domains as your "Company Identifier." 5. Set your search parameters to filter for the specific types of contacts you need (job title, seniority, location, etc.). 6. Click "Preview People" to see the results. 7. If satisfied, click "Import" and "Save to new table" to add these contacts to your workspace.
What if my list does not have linkedin urls?
You can still find contacts for companies without LinkedIn URLs by using company domains as your identifier. Here's how: 1. Import your list of companies into Clay 2. Make sure each company has a domain (this is a "corner piece" in our Jigsaw Framework) 3. Click "Actions" in the top-right corner 4. Select "Find People at These Companies" 5. In the modal, select your company table under "Table Reference" 6. Choose "company domains" as your "Company Identifier" 7. Set your search parameters for the specific contacts you need 8. Click "Preview People" to review results 9. Click "Import" and "Save to new table" if satisfied If you only have company names, you'll need to find their domains first through Google searches or by using Claygent. For smaller companies without LinkedIn presence, you can also use our Google Maps integration to find SMBs in specific cities.
I only have company name in my table
If you only have company names, you'll need to first find their domains before searching for contacts. Here's how: 1. Import your list of company names into a Clay table 2. Use an enrichment to find company domains: • Go to the enrichment tab • Add a "Find Company Domain" enrichment to your table • Test this on a few cells first to ensure it works correctly Once you have the domains: 1. Click "Actions" in the top-right corner 2. Select "Find People at These Companies" 3. Choose your company table under "Table Reference" 4. Select "company domains" as your "Company Identifier" 5. Set your search parameters for the contacts you need 6. Preview, then import to a new table For smaller companies without LinkedIn presence, you can also use our Google Maps integration to find SMBs in specific cities.
How do i add company name to a find and enrich people table? It has domain, I also want the company anme
To add company names to your "Find and Enrich People" table that already has domains: 1. Clay automatically creates a link between your company table and people table when you use "Find People at These Companies." 2. The linked tables feature allows you to pull company attributes (like company name) directly into your people table. 3. Two options: • Use the existing lookup column in your people table to pull in the company name from your company table (just rerun this column) • If you don't have company names in your company table, add a "Find Company Name from Company Domain" enrichment to your people table This way, you'll have both domain and company name displayed in your people table.
