In this short video, I would like to give you a short overview of the workflow I built as part of the Clay Bootcamp course. 0:14 And the basic premise of this workflow is to provide value upfront to the people I'm emailing. Most cold emails today, you know, ask, ask to read something in return, whether it's booking a call or downloading a resource. 0:29 So I put this is a bit on the hat by providing a list of people who commented on their LinkedIn posts and in a Google Sheet. 0:39 Uh, yeah, you can pause this video and read for the message. Um, so this is, uh, the Google Sheet for, for this particular person here, including, uh, work emails as firmographic data. 1:00 All right. So let me walk you quickly for the clay workflow. So the first step was to, uh, find a random list of people here in this case, I think it was like people that have more than 20,000 followers and then find recent posts that mentioned sales or GTM. 1:20 Um, for now I enriched all the posts. I would put exclude here, specifically people that just posted, uh, once. Last 60 days, uh, but I, yeah, for the sake of simplicity, I just kept them. 1:36 Uh, I then enriched them with emails and then, yeah, pushed, uh, push those LinkedIn posts to a separate table where I extracted the commentators. 1:50 I was using an external API, API for that. But the next step was to push all those commentators into the to one single table where I enriched them. 2:04 Uh, the main challenge was that I had encrypted URLs, LinkedIn URLs. So the only providers within Clay are Prospero and Findie emails that can extract emails from encrypted LinkedIn URLs. 2:23 The other providers are LeapMagic, but it's currently not offered as a solution to extract emails from LinkedIn URLs. So what the next step was to push all those commentators in a clean table. 2:49 Hold on. Yes. And the fifth step was to, uh, create the Google Sheet. And then, uhm, use the Google Drive API to, to make this, uh, public so that they can access it as well as creating the headers. 3:13 And the last step, the last step consisted of just pushing all the data to the Google Sheets. So I had to play, play around, uh, with the Google Sheets API a lot. 3:27 Uhm, so it was a bit challenging. The current Uh, does not offer to, uh, push data to multiple, uh, Google Sheets, only to one. 3:37 So I had to find a workaround. Uhm, surely it can be optimized, but I think it's, it's okay for now. 3:43 So you can see here all the commentators associated one, uh, with one spreadsheet ID. And this allowed me to, yeah, push those to, to those separate, each of those leads, uh, to a separate Google Sheet. 4:01 ID. Yeah. So, uh, this is the full process. Um, I think generally, you know, pushing data onto Google Docs, PDFs, and Google Sheets, um, is something super valuable. 4:18 Uh, so I played a lot with N8n in the past and they offer this in a really good manner, so I think it's something to look we could leverage and, you know, be able to create files, Google Doc files, or, uh, Google Sheet files within Play. 4:43 Yeah, so this is from my side.
