Issues Changing Clay Table in Find People Import: Need Help

Is there any reason why can't I change the Clay table in this Find People import? I have stopped the table and will need to reference a different table to feed into this one, but it's greyed out for me. Here is the link to the table: Can you please help figure it out?

The option to change the Clay table in your Find People import is likely greyed out because the table has already been run and contains data. To reference a different table, you have two options: 1. Edit the existing source: Click on the source column in your People table to edit search parameters. This won't remove previously added contacts but will append new ones based on your updated filters. 2. Use "write to table": If you need to pull data from a different table entirely, you can use our "write to table" feature to transfer data between Clay tables. If you're experiencing configuration issues with table references, ensure all columns and tables exist and are correctly set up, as misconfigured references can cause errors.

not really. I AM trying to edit the existing source to change the search parameter (Companies - Clay Table). But that's the one being greyed out.

Hey Bálint S. the reason you can’t change the Clay table in that Find People step is because once the import is created, Clay locks the source table to avoid breaking connections downstream To fix this, you’ll need to: 1. Duplicate the Find People step 2. In the duplicated step, you can now select a different source table 3. Once that’s set up, just remove or disable the original one Alternatively, you can create a new Find People block from scratch and choose your new Companies table there

Hey Abdul S. how do you duplicate that Find People step? I don't see any options to do so.

Hey there Bálint thanks for reaching out and appreciate you jumping in Abdul. Abdul is correct that once a Find People search is created from another table we lock that source in. In this case if you want to add another people search to this table you can select the "Add another Imported Profiles Source" to add people from a different table into the current one. However you will have to reenter in all of the filters that were previously used.
