Hi there! I am looking for advice from someone who uses Clay and Salesforce. Whenever I create a task or post in a chat, nobody receives the notification. I've approached both Salesforce and Clay support to resolve the problem, but to no avail. Any ideas?

Hey Yurii! Thanks for reaching out. Happy to help✨. Could you share your table url? To confirm, when you push updates from Clay via the salesforce integration, you'd like to see notifications for those updates in SF? You'll need to set up a custom flow to achieve this. This has to be configured in SF. Here's a quick resource: https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.flow_ref_elements_actions_sendcustomnotification.htm&language=en_US&type=5 If the notification isn't being triggered in SF, it's likely related to the configuration. We recommend checking with your SF admin/support to verify this. Let me know if this helps!
As regards the verifications, I everything works just fine.
This is a Salesforce visibility issue, not a Clay problem. Since the chatter posts and tasks are successfully created in Salesforce, the integration is working correctly. The issue is likely with field-level security or profile permissions in Salesforce: 1. Check the profile of users who should see the notifications 2. Verify they have read access to the chatter feed and task fields 3. Confirm field-level security settings allow visibility of these records Also ensure your Clay integration user has proper API permissions including "Access Identity Information," "Manage User Data via APIs," and "Perform Requests Anytime" The notifications exist but aren't visible due to Salesforce permission restrictions.
I don't know which side is it. In Clay, I use Create Record, for example, Feed Item in the chatter, properlly map the account id, etc. Then, on the SF, a chatter post is successfully created (for example, a notification about a signal), but nobody sees it. The same story with a task creation.
To clarify where notifications aren't working, let's troubleshoot both platforms: For Salesforce notifications: ** Verify your Salesforce report contains expected accounts and fields ** Check Clay's report source configuration to confirm the correct report is linked ** Use the "Run now" button in Clay to trigger a manual refresh and sync latest data For Clay notifications: ** Check if automated detection is properly configured - when events are marked in your chat platform, data should automatically push to both Salesforce and Clay ** Verify Clay is scheduling follow-up tasks immediately after triggers For Slack notifications (if applicable): ** Ensure automated Slack alerts are properly configured for your workflow Which specific platform are you not receiving notifications in, and what type of notifications (task creation, chat posts, etc.)?
Hi Yurii O. Just to clarify, are the notifications not being triggered in Salesforce, in Clay,? Check DM.
Based on our documentation, notification issues between Clay and Salesforce typically stem from integration configuration problems. For Slack notifications in Clay, ensure your Slack account is properly connected via OAuth in Settings > Connections. For Salesforce integration issues, check that field-level security settings permit API access and that the integration user profile has proper read access enabled. You can also try triggering a manual refresh using the "Run now" button in Clay to sync the latest data. Which specific platform are you trying to receive notifications in - Slack, Salesforce, or another chat platform?
