Hi!! I´m having trouble to get lists of enough potential clients on the clay search method. I put something like: CEO in Spain on Software and I only get 400 people. I do this for different job titles and industries, I always get very little lists. What could I be doing wrong?
Jaime R. Unfortunately, one of the limitations with Clay and many other data providers, is that they can't directly scrape LinkedIn's data. So typically for platforms like Clay, they get LinkedIn data from other providers. So if you use 'Find People', you typically only can get:
People who are in those data providers' database
And often, it's people who have public LinkedIn profile, not public ones
It would never be the same results as compared to LinkedIn Sales Navigator
Thank you very much Asher!! If I do the list on Apollo and then import that list on Clay to enrich, would I have much better results?
Yes, using Apollo to build your list and then importing it to Clay for enrichment would likely give you better results. Clay doesn't have native data - we access 100+ external enrichment tools including Apollo through our marketplace. You can use Apollo's "Find People By Job Title" integration directly within Clay to search their extensive database, then enrich that data using our waterfall feature across multiple providers. Apollo integration doesn't use Clay credits, and you can use the "write to table" feature to add Apollo results to existing tables. This approach often provides better coverage than relying on a single data source.
