Quick question, I've been trying to set up a list to give me the contact details of people that have posted new jobs at companies, I can't seem to get it to work. I thought it would be the hiring signal but it's not quite working. Essentially I just want it to spit out a list of contacts every day that have posted a new job if they work for one of the companies in the original list.
To set up a daily-updating list of contacts who have posted new jobs at companies from your original list, you can use Clay’s scheduling and monitoring features:
1. Import your list of target companies and contacts into a Clay table, ensuring you have LinkedIn URLs for the people you want to track.
2. Use the “Monitor for job changes” action:
• Go to Actions → Monitor for job changes.
• Select your table with the LinkedIn URLs.
• Optionally, enable “Update outdated rows” to add a new row if a contact’s current company no longer matches your records.
• Set the frequency to daily.
3. Scheduled sources:
• Enable scheduled sources to refresh your data automatically every day, so new job postings and changes are pulled in without manual updates.
4. Filter your results to show only those contacts who have posted new jobs and are associated with companies from your original list.
This setup will keep your contact list current and provide daily updates on relevant job postings. If you need more detailed guidance or run into issues, you can request human assistance by clicking on "Talk to a person" in this chat.
Hey there Iain, sorry for the delay here, to clarify here Clay currently does not have an option to check and see if a contact has recently posted a job, although this is a datapoint we have been looking into adding. What we can try and do here is create a Job table that checks to see if a company has posted and job and try using a Claygent search to see if it can find the poster. Let me know if you have and questions about setting this workflow up.
Hey luis, yes I think I’ve built half of that but I can’t quite get it to find contacts properly and then have it exported daily, can you help me fix that?
Hey, looks like you’ve set up the scheduled source correctly. The issue is that your current plan limits results to 1,000. If you need more, you can either upgrade to a Page plan or create additional tables to work around the limit. Both options will let you pull in more contacts without trouble. Was this what you were referring to with: can’t quite get it to find contacts properly Let me know if you have more questions.
