When I pull in a list of target companies from HubSpot into a Clay table and then find people in those companies using "Find people" it's pulling in people from companies that are not in the Clay table's list of companies. I've tried using LinkedIn company page URL and domain and the problem still happens. Is there any way to force Clay to only find people from the list of companies given?
When using "Find people at these companies," make sure you're selecting your HubSpot table under the "Companies" section and choosing the correct column (either company domain or company page URL) under "Column."
The Find People feature should only search within the companies you specify in your existing Clay table. [1] If it's still pulling people from other companies, double-check that your company identifiers (domains/URLs) are clean and properly formatted in your original table.
You can also set a "Limit per company" to control how many people are returned per company (up to 100).
Was that helpful?
No, I already indicated I used both company identifiers and the problem still happens

Example where companies like Squarespace populate despite not being in the original company Clay table: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/33497/workbooks/wb_0t7bz3s779X9r6UJs74/tables/t_0t7bz3u2uaf4cXixGwJ/views/gv_0t7bz3vbs4aRN6rStEK
Hi Rex, thanks for reaching out to support today! I took a look at that table's source, and I found https://www.linkedin.com/company/squarespace is included in your list of Company Identifiers. Do you have a different example we can check? I'm also not seeing this table tied to a Hubspot import, so I'm wondering if I'm looking at the wrong table! Please let me know if this is the right table, and if so, if there is another example besides Squarespace you're seeing that you're not expecting to see!
Ah, thanks Ariana. I shouldn't have assumed my data was squeaky clean 😅
