Challenges with Changing Send Table Data Destination and UI Improvement Suggestions

Why can't I change the destination of a "Send table data" once its been created? Is it because a "link" has been established and its not that simple to break it at both ends? If so, can the UI be improved to communicate that better - both when setting it up, and now when I was trying to edit the destination to be something different.
