if I collapse groups inside a table and then export, do all columns export or only the visible ones?
CSV exports mirror your Clay table exactly, so only visible columns will be exported. [1] If you've hidden columns in your current view, they won't appear in the export.
To control what gets exported, create a dedicated export view by duplicating your current view and hiding columns you don't need. [2] This ensures your CSV contains only the data you want.

So if they're in a group but the group isn't opened - they won't get exported?
To include grouped columns in your export, you'll need to expand the group first or create a dedicated export view where you unhide those columns. [3]

Okay and is best practices to have a new table for a people table or can I put my people in my company table?

When I import people data from outside Clay into a new table, it’s hard to find the right companies if I match by domain because it's not always the same data
Domain matching can be tricky when importing external data. Here are a few approaches:
Use multiple identifiers: Include company name alongside domain for better matching accuracy. [1]
Clean your data first: Check for blank, null, or invalid domain entries before importing.
Try the "Lookup Multiple Rows in other Table" feature: This lets you search your company table using domains as the matching field to find existing companies.
Consider enriching after import: You can always add company enrichment columns later to fill in missing company data once your people are imported.
What specific domain matching issues are you running into? Are domains formatted differently or completely missing?
But you can only do a lookup with one identifier so ideally that's a unique ID but there's no way to get the unique ID Is there a way to import rows in the people wizard
You can't directly import external people data through the Find People wizard - it's designed to search Clay's database using your company table as a starting point. [1]
For importing external people data, you'd need to create a new table and import your data there. Then you can use "Lookup Multiple Rows in other Table" to match against your company table using domains or company names as identifiers.
The Find People wizard requires a company table with LinkedIn URLs or domains as identifiers to work properly. [2]

Can I get company LinkedIn from people finder?
The company data flows automatically once the tables are linked - you just need to add a lookup column to pull the company information you want.
