So I’m using a column from another table to filter on company … for some reason it’s the wrong table, I need to change it but it is impossible - why? How can I change it?
Clay doesn't automatically update tables when you change source filters because it doesn't reprocess previously generated data. To see updated results with your new table selection, you need to either: ** Delete and re-run the step that generated the data ** Duplicate the table with the updated source If you're referencing columns from another table, you may also need to re-run the company row in the people table to see new values.
I just need to update the Clay Table filter man

Hey, You’re right—there’s currently a bug that’s preventing you from changing the table used in the filter. We’ve flagged this to the engineering team and they’re working on it. In the meantime, the quickest workaround is to create a new source with the correct table. We’ll follow up once this is resolved. Thanks for your patience.
Good to hear it’s bug and not by design. Let me know when it’s fixed - thanks!
Hey, sorry about that—could you send over the table where you’re still seeing the bug? I’ll pass it to the team so they can take a closer look. Appreciate your patience.
Hey, thanks for following up. Just a quick tip here, it’s better not to send things in DM as we don’t reply to DMs for a better customer experience! You won’t be able to change a table’s source after it’s been created—that’s expected behavior. For the previous example that was the wrong table, you meant that the right one was selected but then the right one the wrong one appeared? This table URL right? app.clay.com/workspaces/562609/workbooks/wb_0swaru38pnDranhPjgs/tables/t_Osxv6rgwR7pAjTo3bZh/views/gv_Osxv6rhuuxrP4X9gwUn The earlier issue made it seem like it was possible, but that was just a front-end bug. Since then, it’s been fixed to reflect the actual behavior: once a source is set, it can’t be changed due to how the database is structured. Let me know if you need help setting up a new table instead.
