I am trying to use Serper.dev but everytime I run a query for bifold door companies in the UK (which are being delivered on the Serper site correctly) I end up with US results in Clay?
When using Google search integrations in Clay, you can specify the country parameter to get location-specific results. In the "Find Domain from Company Name with Google" action, there's a "Country" field that defaults to United States - make sure to set this to "United Kingdom" for UK-specific results. You can also enhance your search accuracy by using Google search operators like adding location-specific terms in quotes or using site-specific searches to focus on UK domains. For UK company data specifically, consider using HitHorizons which has access to 80 million companies from 50 countries in Europe and the UK with both commercial and government sources.
I am using HTTP API and I have set the location to United Kingdom and it's still pulling US results
The HTTP API integration in Clay allows you to connect to external services and retrieve data, but the location filtering depends entirely on how the external API you're calling handles geographic parameters. When using HTTP API, you can configure query string parameters, headers, and the request body to send location-specific information to the external service. The issue you're experiencing suggests that either the location parameter isn't being passed correctly in your API request, or the external API service isn't properly filtering results by the specified location. This could be due to incorrect parameter formatting, the parameter being placed in the wrong section (query string vs. body vs. headers), or the external API not recognizing your location parameter format. Could you copy and paste your JSON body and query parameters from your HTTP API configuration so we can troubleshoot the location filtering issue?
Hey, I just checked the table but it looks deleted on my end. Can you confirm if you’re seeing any data on your side?
Yeah got deleted Bo (. as turns out it was an issue on the Serper side
