Hi Support-- I am getting the 'too many columns' error when running a US + Canada find mobile enrichment. THis is the same error others have mentioned in the thread above. I have 35 columns, and am running 4 providers + the validation, so it should still be under the 40 action column max. Can you please check this for me: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/405126/workbooks/wb_0szuuxxrBbSwS4EX4Wc/tables/t_0szuuywgf7nNnnEK4gZ/views/gv_0szuuywx6oZzj8BR7Nh
The "too many columns" error occurs due to a 30-column limit for action (enrichment) columns per table, not 40. Even though you have 35 total columns, the limit specifically applies to enrichment columns only. To resolve this, you can run your enrichment by selecting specific rows: click, drag to select the rows you want to enrich, right-click and select "Run # of cells", or click the play button in the column header of your first data provider. Alternatively, delete completed enrichment columns after retrieving their data to free up space for new enrichments.
Clay counts all columns, even hidden or unused ones unhide everything, delete extras, then re-run usually fixes it
You're correct! Clay enforces a 30-column limit for action (enrichment) columns per table, and this includes all columns—even hidden or unused ones. The total table limit is 70 columns, with up to 30 being action/integration columns (or 40 if using waterfalls). Your approach is the right solution: unhide all columns, delete the extras you don't need, then re-run your enrichment. This will free up space within the 30-column action limit.
