Is it possible to add private notes to a workbook? Usecase: i often have large outreach tables, which i prioritize in segments. I don't reach out to all at once and it would be super helpful to be able to make notes for myself for additional ideas on the table.
The provided documentation covers workbook settings and access controls, but doesn't mention a specific private notes feature for workbooks. You can edit workbook settings by clicking the workbook title and selecting "Edit workbook settings," which allows you to control access levels and add collaborators. For organizing your outreach workflow, you might consider using separate tables within your workbook to segment your prioritization or creating additional columns in your existing tables to track your notes and priorities. What specific type of notes are you looking to add - would they be at the workbook level for overall strategy, or do you need notes tied to specific records in your outreach tables?
it would be workbook level for overall strategy
workaround could be i make a new table in the workbook and name it "notes", and put my thoughts in rows there
Clay doesn't have a dedicated private notes feature at the workbook level. Your workaround of creating a separate "notes" table within the workbook is the best approach for workbook-level strategy notes. Since workbooks can contain multiple tables for organizing data workflows, a dedicated notes table would fit naturally into this structure and keep your strategic thoughts organized alongside your outreach data.
