I've got a column of business names that I trimmed using a formula and then copied into a new column. I cannot lookup against these values for some reason (if I delete the contents and replace with the same text the lookup works). If this was Excel I'd say there was an issue with the data type but in clay I'm not sure. Any ideas please?
This is likely due to hidden formatting or whitespace issues. When you copy formula results, they may retain invisible characters or extra spaces that prevent exact matching. Try these solutions: 1. Create a new column with a formula that explicitly trims whitespace 2. Manually clean the data by removing and re-entering values 3. Use the column's "Rename" option to ensure proper formatting Remember that lookups require exact string matches and are case-sensitive.
