Conditional People Search in Tables: Solutions and Strategies

Is there any way to make a People search run on a conditional run? I see you can add it to the column after creating the search, but when I re-ran the table, it ran the search on all the companies on the table. The only way I've figured out how to do so is to filter out the companies prior to searching for people.
