is it cheaper to "Use AI" to generate multiple outputs from a single column or to separate each output request into a separate Use AI column?
It's generally cheaper to use a single "Use AI" column with multiple outputs rather than separate columns for each output. [1]
However, the most cost-effective approach is to first check if you can use AI Formulas instead - they're completely free and don't consume any credits. [2] AI Formulas work great for structured, deterministic tasks like formatting, cleaning data, or extracting patterns.
Only use "Use AI" when you need generative capabilities that require reasoning or creativity that AI Formulas can't handle. [3]

how do i run a people search for only the companies meeting certain criteria in a find companies table
To run a people search for only specific companies from your Find Companies table:
Go to Actions and select "Find people at these companies"
In the Find People modal, set up your company reference: • Table Reference: Select your Find Companies table • Company Identifier: Choose the company's domain or profile URL column • View Selection: Use default view or specify a subset of companies [1]
Set your people search criteria using the available filters (job titles, seniority, location, etc.)
Click "Preview People" to see results, then "Import" and "Save to new table" if satisfied
This will search for people only at the companies in your existing table, not all companies in our database.

If you still need help with running a people search based on your Find Companies table, I’m here to assist. Would you like to provide more details about the criteria or results you’re aiming for?
I htink so,. Will columns from the companies table also be improted to the new find people table
Yes! Clay automatically links your Find Companies table to your Find People table, so you can pull company attributes (like tech stack, revenue, location) directly into your people table. [1]
This saves credits - instead of enriching each person individually, you enrich once at the company level and pull that data into all contacts from that company. [2]
If you add new company data later, just rerun the lookup column in your people table to sync the updated info.

how do i create a view that only has the companies i want?
Are you looking to filter an existing companies table or create a new one with specific criteria?
If you still need help creating a filtered view or have any other questions about your Find Companies table, I’m here to assist. Would you like to share more about the specific criteria or goals you have for your view?
When you select "Clay table of companies" and choose your specific table (like "Tbl_1_Baseline_Accts" in your screenshot), the people search will only look for people at those exact companies in that table. [1]
The "View Selection" option lets you use the default view or specify a subset of companies from your table - so if you've filtered your companies table to show only certain accounts, the people search respects those filters. [2] This ensures you're only finding people at the companies that meet your criteria, not from our entire database. [3]
