Improving Contact Quality in Find People Feature

Hi Clay team Bo (. Bruno R. Clay S. β€” I'm noticing issues with contact quality when using the "Find People" feature. I'm getting a lot of outdated contacts (people no longer working at the targeted companies), leading to frequent replies like "I no longer work at X" in my LinkedIn outreach. Is there a way to ensure the contacts in my lists are current, active employees? Would appreciate any guidance here and insight into what data sources you're pulling from. Thx

    I had the same issue, then I realized their find people data is outdated - but if you run the Clay enrich people again to cross check companies and roles, that data is up-to-date. So I would use find people as top of funnel, then enrich people to filter down, and then find emails only for the ones that pass the check

    I've recently been running into this issue as well. thanks for the solution Julia X.. what do you typically match/filter on to do that cross check you mentioned?

    I write a formula and check if the company name/roles changed, and for those that changed and no longer my ICP I would just filter out and delete

    Oh one more thing - I realized the first name often gets messed up with Clay find ppl, esp some would have Mr. Ms. Or Dr. listed as first name instead of their actual real name, so you would have to filter the first names and manually overwrite with real names

    To ensure more accurate and current contacts when using our "Find People" feature: 1. Use the preview function before importing to refine your search criteria. 2. After importing, use the "Enrich People" feature to cross-check and update company and role information. 3. Create a formula to check if company names or roles have changed, and filter out those that no longer match your criteria. 4. For first name accuracy, manually review and correct entries where titles (Mr., Ms., Dr.) are listed as first names. Remember, data freshness can vary, so it's always good practice to verify information before outreach.
