i cant find 'total years of experience' in clays 'find a person' eg 'number in experience' is the wrong thing and means how many positions and not years. eg 10 jobs and not 10 years. but 'total years of experience' means clearly yrs - anyone any idea?
The "total years of experience" filter exists in our Find People feature but may not be visible in all interface views. [1]
If you can't see this filter option in the Experience section, try using AI Formulas after importing your results to calculate total years of experience from the experience data. [2] You can use "Ask question about items with AI" to calculate total work experience years from the enriched person data. [3]
Was that helpful?
no, that would cost credits, right? i have a table with 200k leads... so i need direct data
I understand this is frustrating. I’ll connect you to a human agent who can assist you further.

Hey,
You’re right — there isn’t a filter for total years of experience. The available filters are limited to what’s shown in the “Find Person” setup. To get that data, you’d need to run an enrichment that calculates it from their experience history.
I’ve also shared this with our product team so they can look into adding it in the future.
Let me know if you’d like help setting up that enrichment.
does it cost clay credits, right?
Yes — calculating total years of experience across someone’s full profile will use Clay credits since it requires enrichment.
If you just want to calculate time at a single job, you can do that manually (for example, in months) without using credits.
For the 50k row limit, it’s possible to manage this with Enterprise plans using auto-delete, which automatically deletes rows based on your set values.
not sure but how do other ppl/agencies not struggle with that? so easy to have 50k. i mean companies like revyops are hedging that..`?
Yeah, makes sense — larger teams usually have auto-delete turned on, or they manage data in smaller segments to stay within limits.
'you’d need to run an enrichment that calculates it from their experience history.' - can you expand on that?
Hey there! Thanks for the reply. Bo was referring to using a formula to review the start/end dates in the experience section to determine how long a contact has been in a specific role. I made a quick recording below showing an example. Let me know if that helps!
