People Search Column results not being added to Find people table. My find companies table has a very last column that should run a people search and add the results to the people table. However, I added several companies to that table and results were found, but they are not being populated on the people table. table link: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/590277/workbooks/wb_0svwz70wSARsNR8YtgX/tables/t_0swdqwwkS7kiV3R2Tbq/views/gv_0sw2cfjGXgfPxuMPwT4
When you add new companies to your Find Companies table, the linked lookup column in your Find People table doesn't automatically update with new results. You need to manually rerun the lookup column in your Find People table to sync the updated information and pull in people data for the newly added companies. To do this, force run the lookup column that connects to your company table - this will refresh the connection and populate people results for your new companies.
Do I need to rerun the column every time I add new companies? I can't have it run automatically each time a new company is added?
Can I just re-run the new rows or do I have to do the entire column? If i do the entire column, will it add more people from the previous companies as well?
Hey Dustin — great questions. If your Find People column is set to run automatically, it’ll handle new inputs on its own. But when you add new data to the row lever at the source table, the lookup column in your People table won’t auto-refresh — you’ll need to manually re-run it to pull in the latest updated values for each rows you updated. Also, Find People works at the table level — so when you re-run it, it will reprocess all rows, not just new ones. That said, you can still run the full column if needed; it won’t duplicate existing people already in the target table. Let me know if you want help refining the flow.
Hi Bo (. - thank you for this clarification. I'm still running into some odd behavior with the people search column and have included those issues in this Loom recording: https://www.loom.com/share/d77fe01bde714f75951304dc07721904?sid=ef44578b-d83e-4489-94a1-be84465db05a Could you please let me know if there is a better way to achieve what I am looking for? (btw, the company that people should not have been found for is row 13 - Rocket Lawyer) Thanks so much in advance for your help!
And to clarify, the desired flow I am looking for is:
Pull in new companies to company table using find companies tool
Company Enrichments run
If company is "Qualified" & all enrichments have run, initiate people search
People data (including data from the company) is transferred over to the people table, then people table enrichments begin
Thanks!

Hey, For the missing input issues, it looks like the data was retrieved, but the enrichment didn’t finish running—so the results aren’t showing yet. That might be why you’re seeing inconsistencies across rows. Also, when using Find People as a column, it operates at the table level—not per row. So row-level exclusions like “Qualified = true” won’t prevent it from running on unqualified rows
If you want more control, use Find Contact at Company from the enrichment panel instead. You can set it to save results in the same table and apply conditions to skip unqualified rows. Just note that this uses a different provider and may affect credit usage. Let me know if you want help setting that up.
Hey, Great question—both use 1 Clay credits and are from the same data source (vs the free one). Find Contact at Company uses a different provider that pulls from a more real-time dataset, which is why it costs a credit Let me know if you have more questions.
Thank you - sorry for so many questions, working on a project for a client and need to be extra careful about our credit usage. To confirm - the "people search" and "Find Contacts at Company" tool both use one credit to enrich each person, correct? So I should not expect to be spending more credits per person when switching to "Find Contacts at Company"? Thanks
I think I might be unfamiliar with the "free version", which is where my confusion is coming from. Is that different than what I am currently using for that table?
I recorded this walkthrough video showing exactly how to set this up: https://cln.sh/mJMYzq4B Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!
This makes sense! Will try to implement and let you know if I have any questions. Thank you for your assistance as always - you guys have the best support!
Hi Bo (., Think I found a solution using your recommendations, but ran into a couple new, small issues. Video: https://www.loom.com/share/20d13079efed4359a2ec6f5e253fa23f?sid=ba4bfabc-2846-4cfa-8eaf-a596bb73d66d Would love to know if you're aware of any solutions to these issues, also would love to know if you think there's a better way to acheive what I'm looking to or if I'm on the right track. Thanks!
Hey there Dustin thanks for reaching out, sorry for the delay here, taking a look at this, made a loom going over this: https://www.loom.com/share/2fb2b7843ec843e7968fbd08ff6da101?sid=e9d1c8cd-ee95-491c-b175-55bee31b5cac
Awesome thanks. Figured it out - the columns were originally set up as formulas to take values from the Enrich LI profile column, which is what was causing the overwrite issues. It appears that the find contacts at company column also pulls LI data, so no need to run it twice and am just sending that over. & I set up a check to confirm that the company name being pulled from LinkedIn is the same as the company name in the find companies column in the companies table, so that should eliminate those issues of mismatched job titles.
Hey Dustin, thanks for reaching out! Glad to hear this was resolved!! Let us know if there's anything else we can assist with here!
