Hi team, I'm working on Social Monitoring prospects engaging with professional posts using Trigify native integration in Clay. I added few relevant post keywords to monitor, but I haven't been getting desired results. Can someone share any best practice to add keywords and use this intent signal in general?
For Trigify keyword best practices:
Keyword Strategy:
Separate multiple keywords with commas - Trigify uses OR logic, finding prospects who engaged with posts containing ANY of your keywords [1]
Example: "marketing automation, email marketing" finds prospects engaging with either topic
Additional Filters:
Use optional filters to refine results:
Job titles and company domains (include/exclude)
Industries and company sizes
Prospect locations and follower counts
Number of days since engagement [2]
General Setup:
Add filters by role, time period, and other parameters
Set up scheduling for continuous automated discovery [3]
Try being more specific with your keywords or adding complementary filters to narrow down to your ideal prospects.
Is that what you were looking for?
I added around 100 different keywords. I still didn't get enough results.
Try reducing your keywords to be more focused and specific. Having 100 keywords may actually hurt your results.
Use these strategies:
- Narrow down keywords: Focus on 5-10 highly specific terms rather than 100 broad ones
- Add filters: Use job titles, company domains, industries, company sizes, locations, and follower counts to refine results [1]
- Adjust timeframe: Modify "Number of days since engagement" to capture more recent activity
Remember Trigify uses OR logic - it finds prospects who engaged with ANY of your keywords, so fewer, more targeted keywords often work better. [2]
Is that what you were looking for?
So 5-10 keywords is ideal? Not more than that?
The sources don't specify an exact ideal number of keywords for Trigify. However, since Trigify uses OR logic (finding prospects who engaged with ANY of your keywords), fewer targeted keywords often work better than many broad ones. [1]
Focus on quality over quantity - use highly specific, relevant keywords rather than casting a wide net with 100+ terms.
Is that what you were looking for?
Is there any best practice for keywords? Should they be a long sentence or 2-3 words?
For Trigify keywords, use 2-3 words rather than long sentences. The sources show effective examples like "marketing automation, email marketing" - short, specific phrases that capture the core topic. [1]
Keep keywords highly specific and focused. AI prompting best practices suggest being "as specific as possible" with simple phrasing, and using "specific keywords" rather than broad terms works better for social engagement tracking. [2]
Short, targeted keyword phrases will give you better results than lengthy sentences.
Did that answer your question?
AI asks me to make it conversational
For conversational AI prompts, add instructions like "write casually" or "use a conversational tone" in your prompt. [1]
You can also specify the exact style you want - for example, "write in a friendly, approachable manner" or "avoid overly formal language." [2]
The key is being specific about the tone you want in your prompt instructions.
