Understanding Clay Account Credits Across Multiple Workspaces

Hey I have my own clay account with 4000+ credits, and I'm also a member of another workspace that I manage for my client. I don't understand how are the credits being split across two accounts (or more) if I'll be managing more workspaces. I see 4k+ credits in both workspaces, the only difference is that on my workspace the horizontal line is all green, and on the client workspace is green with white dashes. Can someone explain to me how's this working?
