API Key support with Attio: Looks like there's a bug
You can add your Attio API key in Clay through two ways:
Method 1: Go to your profile picture > Settings > Connections section and add your API key there.
Method 2: When setting up an Attio enrichment, click "Add Account" in the enrichment panel and connect your API key directly. [1]
Using your own API key saves Clay credits since you're using your existing Attio subscription instead of our managed account. [2]
What specific issue are you having with the Attio API key setup?
there's a bug
What specific error are you seeing with the Attio API key? Can you click into the cell where the error appears to see more details about the error message? [1]
If it's a JSON formatting issue, please copy and paste the JSON into the chat so I can help troubleshoot. [2] You could also try using Sculptor (top-right corner) to help diagnose the issue - it's great at spotting API configuration problems.
Clay received a 401 error from the API with Content: {"status_code":401,"type":"auth_error","code":"unauthorized","message":"The API Key provided was invalid because it was the wrong length (API Keys should be 64 characters long). You might not have copied the entire API key from your Admin panel?"}
but it crashes
The error shows your Attio API key is incomplete - it needs to be exactly 64 characters long.
Try copying the API key again from your Attio admin panel, making sure you get the entire key. Sometimes hidden characters get copied from documentation that can cause issues. [1]
Paste it into a plain text editor first to check for any hidden characters, then copy the clean version into Clay. [2]
What happens when you try to add the corrected API key - does it still crash at the same point?
it crashes
Since you've confirmed the API key is 64 characters but it's still crashing, this sounds like a JSON formatting issue. [1]
Can you copy and paste the JSON body you're using into the chat so I can help troubleshoot the formatting?
Also try using Sculptor (top-right corner) - it's great at spotting API configuration problems and can help diagnose what's causing the crash.
