Hi, 2 parts of a question. I want to first make a list of companies with this criteria:
Tech startups - VC or PE backed
Generally looking for companies that are Series A and later, they have product market fit, and we help them scale things up and grow quickly
Employees: 30-500
At least 1 marketing person in seat --> whenever we report directly to the CEO, it ends up being a nightmare.
Industries: B2B, SaaS (B2B and B2C), Fintech, and App Install programs (B2B and B2C)
Within these companies, I want to focus on companies that have newly hired marketing leaders and companies with active hiring or growth signals.. can anyone guide me on this?
Use our Find Companies feature to build your list. Set filters for: ** Employee count: 30-500 ** Industries: B2B, SaaS, Fintech * Job titles: Include marketing roles, exclude CEO-only companies Create focused lists of 1, 000-3, 000 companies for better testing. Preview your results and adjust filters as needed - if the list is too small, expand headcount ranges or loosen location filters. For funding stage and growth signals, you'll need additional enrichment after importing your initial list, as this data isn't available in the Find Companies modal itself.
Hey, Here's how you can set up that workflow in Clay: 1. Start with a "Find Companies" search Use filters like: ⢠Keywords: B2B, SaaS, Fintech, Apps (although it'd be better to go with industry, you can still get some that would mention this) ⢠Employee range: 10-500 Add to the table and then add these enrichments: ⢠Funding: Series A or later (look for VC/PE-backed) ⢠Go to the enrichment panel by clicking on the add enrichment button, then search for "Find Contact at these companies" and use the Clay one. Save it into this table and then add the marketing search to find roles like "Head of Marketing," "VP of Marketing," etc. You can filter by recently joined to find new hires. Use enrichments like: ⢠"Job Posts" to spot companies hiring in marketing ⢠"Headcount Growth" to catch companies with recent momentum 4. Filter + Score You can layer on filters or build a scoring column to prioritize the best-fit targets. Let me know if you'd like help setting up the specific enrichments or formulas!
