Looking to better understand governance around credit usage. Specifically, for those on an annual plan/credit allotment, is there any way to hard cap the number of credits used per month?
With an annual plan, you receive all your credits upfront and can use them however and whenever you'd like throughout the year. There is no built-in functionality to set a monthly credit usage cap for annual plans, as they are designed to provide flexible usage of the full year's allotment based on your needs.
Is that what you were looking for?
More just looking to see if there’s a way to cap monthly usage even with credits front-loaded annually. While the flexibility is great, an option to add guardrails would be helpful, especially as we add more users to the tool.
While there isn't a built-in feature to set monthly credit caps for annual plans, you can implement some practical guardrails to manage credit usage: 1. Use Conditional Runs to control when enrichments are executed: • Set up conditions in the Run Settings of enrichment columns • This ensures credits are only used when specific criteria are met 2. Utilize Filtered Views: • Create filtered views to limit which rows get enriched • Credits are only consumed for rows in your active view Keep in mind that with an annual plan, you receive all credits upfront with the flexibility to use them throughout the year. If you find you need additional credits at any point, you can purchase credit top-ups without changing your plan or billing cycle.
Did that answer your question?
Gotcha, yeah we've already implemented conditional runs. I suppose this is more of a feature request.
I'm glad to hear that! I'm here if you have any other questions or ideas to share.
