what should i do to my list before I do it ??? get rid of the personal emails ? or what ?? its a 28000 list
For a 28,000 record list, prepare it by:
Create a clean export view - Hide unnecessary columns and keep only essential data like company names, domains, and key identifiers.
Remove duplicates and outdated records using data cleansing tools to ensure accuracy.
Filter to qualify leads - Apply criteria like location, industry, or company size to enrich only high-value prospects and avoid wasting credits on irrelevant records.
Set up exclusions - Use our "Exclude" feature to automatically filter out existing contacts or companies you already have in your CRM.
Test first - Run your Sculptor prompt on a small sample (10-50 rows) before processing the full 28,000 to validate your workflow and credit usage.
Personal emails aren't necessarily problematic - focus more on data quality and relevance filtering.
Does that preparation advice make sense to you?
how do i dedupe ?
You have two ways to dedupe in Clay:
Auto-dedupe (recommended for ongoing cleanup):
Click the Auto-dedupe button at the bottom-right of your table. Toggle on "Enable automatic deduplication" and select a column to use as the unique identifier (like company domain or email). This continuously monitors and removes duplicates automatically.
Manual column dedupe:
Right-click any column header, select Dedupe > Delete Duplicate Row. This removes duplicates based on exact matches in that specific column.
Important: Deleted rows cannot be recovered, and deduplication is case-sensitive.
