hey guys, do have a problem regarding using Apollo with Clay.
I have seen "email_not_unlocked" when I try to enrich contact via Apollo. Have tried to address this reading this, but it didn't solve the problem. Please help me troubleshoot this issue. I want to use Apollo to enrich existing contacts, then apply the rest of the waterfall.
The "email_not_unlocked" error in Apollo usually means Apollo’s API couldn’t extract the email for the contact, often due to API limits, exhausted credits, account restrictions, or coverage rules—not a Clay setup issue [1].
To resolve this:
Check your Apollo API credits and ensure your account isn’t restricted or rate-limited .
Verify your API key has the correct permissions for the enrich endpoint and is active [2] [3] [4].
Try running the enrichment on fewer rows to avoid hitting API limits .
If the issue persists, contact Apollo support to confirm your API key and account status .
Note: This is not a Clay configuration problem, so Clay support can’t resolve it directly .
