Company Table Organization: Grouping same businesses after enrichments? I'm helping a Clay customer and my client with list building. Could someone help me think through the organization of accounts when we have multiple unique identifiers in a table? Here's a video:
For organizing companies with multiple identifiers, try these approaches:
Dedupe by company name: Click the column header → select "Dedupe" to remove exact duplicates. [1]
Normalize company names first: Use Tools → "Normalize Company Names" to clean up variations like "Inc." or legal suffixes before deduping. [2]
Send organized data to new table: Use Actions → "Send table data" to move cleaned records to a fresh table with better structure. [3]
Map lists to separate rows: If you have multiple contacts per company, use "Write to Other Table" to map each contact to individual rows in a new table. [4]
Since I can't see your video, try Sculptor (top-right corner) - it can help build the exact table structure you need for your specific case. Let me know if Sculptor helps or if you need more specific guidance!
Is that what you were looking for?
yeah! but I don't want to delete the entries just identify that they are with the same clinic/practice...
Perfect! Instead of deduping, add a column to group/identify related entries:
Add Column → Merge columns to create a "Clinic/Practice ID" column that combines identifying fields (like normalized company name + location). [1]
Or use Actions → Send table data to create a separate reference table with unique clinic/practice identifiers, then link back to your main table. [2]
This way you keep all entries but can easily filter or identify which ones belong to the same clinic/practice. [3]
