👋 Hello, team! Question regarding 30 messages a day limit...
Hello! How can I assist you today?
I am looking to find out why email sequencing is limited to 30 messages per account per day? Can it be increased at all?
The 20-30 email per day limit is a deliverability best practice, not a Clay restriction. Sending more emails per domain risks spam filters and domain blacklisting. [1]
To scale beyond this, set up multiple "burner domains"—variants of your primary domain with unique inboxes. Each should send only 20-30 emails daily. This protects your main domain while enabling hundreds of personalized emails across multiple accounts. [2]
Clay recommends spacing emails about 20 minutes apart (roughly 24 per day per account) for optimal deliverability.
Is that what you were looking for?
I have said accounts but, once again, they are limited to 30 messages per account per day. Your answer is telling me to make more accounts. I am asking about the limit itself...
I understand your concern and will connect you with a human agent who can provide more detailed assistance.

Hey William! Thanks for reaching out! The reason why email sequencing is limited to 30 messages per account per day is to protect users from being flagged by ESPs (email service provider) as spam. We recommend keeping it under 30 emails/day per account.
Hope this helps!
I see, so you set it based on clay's recommendations...but the partners you are integrated with such as instantly, smartlead, do not impose a strict condition even through they have their own set of recommendations. Is there a way to tweak the message limit to fit our needs??
Hey there - definitely understand the frustration. Our sequencer is built differently to reduce spam incidences, but I've noted this down as product feedback for the team. Thank you for your patience as we develop!
How can I track this feedback/development?
Hey William, as of right now we keep our internal development private unfortunately. However, I'll note this as feedback to the team to consider having a public roadmap on some of our developments. I appreciate your patience!
