I have been enriching data at the company level and creating specific variables that I need in my outreach at the company level, because that's the only place I can do it. Then, when I do a fine people search at these companies, it won't actually take over that variable. So they're separate functions. I need that variable for that specific person, but they're living in two different tables.
Clay automatically links your Find Companies table to your Find People table, allowing you to pull company-level variables into your people data. [1]
After enriching at the company level, you can extract those attributes directly into your Find People table using the linked relationship. [2] If you've added new company enrichments later, just rerun the lookup column in your people table to sync the updated information.
This way you enrich once at the company level and pull it into your people data for all contacts at that company. [3]

so i should always do find people search from the same table i did find company at??? because what if i took the company data, moved it into a different table, and then did find people search... will all that still be ther e?
You don't have to do Find People from the same table as Find Companies, but it's recommended for automatic linking. [1]
If you move company data to a different table and then run Find People, the automatic linking won't work - you'd need to manually set up the connection using Write to Table. [2]
The easiest approach is to run Find People directly from your original company table to keep everything automatically linked. [3]
